The arrangement given to the camera makes it possible to obtain a very reduced volume when it is not used. The format of the plates is 6.5 x 9 and volume is only 4.5 x 10 x 13.5 cm.
The jumelle camera opened has the aspect of the usual apparatuses in the shape of pyramid, but the widest sides, instead of being fixed, are assembled to hinge on the front of G which carries the lens and are provided with folding backs P Q. The magazine M is also assembled there to hinge in order to be able to fold back itself on the lower side, when the camera is not useful; its thickness is such as when it is thus folded back, and that the side P comes to apply to him, one obtains a block with parallel faces very easy to put in the pocket. The darkroom is formed by bellows in very flexible skin. The magazine is entirely out of metal, it can take off of the drawer easily where it slides to be replaced by another, which makes it possible to have always one in reserve of them. The mode of retraction is very special, one must let the magazine pulled to operate. The plate of top is retained in place in front of the lens, the others are moved; if the shutter is not released and that one gives up taking the subject which one kept in mind, one has only to push back the drawer. If, on the contrary, one took the exposure, one presses on a button and the plate fall at the bottom of the camera, to slip on the others when the drawer is pushed back. The lenses is with the choice of the purchaser; the viewfinder does not have anything in particular.
